Where New Yorkers Go For Results …for Hypnosis Training. One on one sessions, 5-Path Hypnotherapy, Regression And NLP Now Serving Upstate New York

A LIFETIME OF WORK IN HYPNOSIS, NLP AND RESULTANT "EFFECTIVE" THERAPIES.

From an early age, having grown up in New York City's South Village (Greenwich Village) in the 50's all the way through to 2016 a rough and tumble, mostly Italian immigrant neighborhood sandwiched above Canal Street and below Houston Street, which, although we were exposed to the good times, as children, we were also exposed to some of the worst traits in the human condition too. This was the home to waterfront workers, government employees (aka city workers), street scammers and, most prominent: the mob. The paranoia of an unknowing tomorrow stifled many of us, suppressed our self esteem, made us feel unwanted. Many of us floundered in life, not having a direction or a mentor. We were the clueless youth, searching for a purpose. I explored the techniques of Hypnosis, NLP, different religions, and as time went on, from the books I read that I found on old, dusty, used book stores. I integrated the strategies, processes and therapies, under the limitations of my understanding, to see if the possibilities were there in helping others move to a more productive, calmer and focused, successful lifestyle, most of all, including myself.

DESPITE BEING SELF TAUGHT IN THE EARLY WORKINGS OF HYPNOSIS,
I ENDED UP TRAINING THOUSANDS OF YOUNG MEN!
THERE WAS NO HYPNOSIS TRAININGS OF ANY CONSEQUENCE!
JUST MY SELF-LED FREE PRACTICE GROUP I HAD FORMED !

The answers and solutions didn't come easy. There really wasn't hypnosis training when I grew up. Hypnosis was the realm of the misconceptions of many a Hollywood B grade movie. I devoured all the literature and put together a Self Help group called Sleepwalkers where many of the young men and women that joined us, put each little morsel of a technique through it's paces. We would meet in borrowed apartments, the local parks, on Manhattan rooftops and later, in the free spaces offered by Barnes and Noble bookstores. We grew … not just in NYC. Early primitive email systems and yahoo groups forums whispered of what we were doing. Other's joined in or asked for details how they could form a group. This anonymous, unregistered group that existed in between the whispers, with the unlikely name, Sleepwalkers, grew to a network of thousands of anonymous members and the group went viral, pre-internet and multiplied across continents. Who would have thought it. My original imagination was to get together a group of 5 or 10 explorers who were looking for a way to escape the limitations of their upbringing, to raise our self confidence, to slow down the endless parade of rotating thoughts in our head that held us back. It proved I wasn't alone.

MY ENTRY INTO HYPNOSIS CAME ROUNDABOUT FROM THE Silva Method !

Sleepwalkers came about before the advent of the New Age movement … When positive thinking speakers was the best you would exposed to, like Zig Zigler. I had my first real girlfriend at 17, older than myself, attractive beyond what I felt I deserved, who introduced me to something called the Silva Method. I went to introductory meetings on Wednesday nights at the Gramercy Hotel and the Doral Inn to listen to lectures about the discoveries of a genius Mexican American and how he explored the realms of hypnosis to enter altered states and manipulate consciously our brain frequencies to make our bodies calmer, our thought patterns more malleable. It was really 'woo woo' science back then, beyond the realms of anything in my growing up. But I still kept going to those free introductory meetings.

Eventually and somehow, I made it through college. I was burnt out. I had no money. I didn't qualify for student loans, so I worked on the Brooklyn and NJ Waterfront doing a variety of odd jobs on the waterfront, mostly at night, only to head to school in the mornings, where I operated on fumes, my substance, large volumes of caffeinated drinks to keep me awake. After 5 years and many scholarly accomplishments, I had several degrees in hands, not from one, but from three colleges. Unfortunately for me, I found I was too fried from the nights of endless no sleep and school to pursue any of the endeavors I had studied. I felt paralyzed. The only option I had at the time was to show up at another introductory Silva Mind Control meeting and plunk my hard earned $395. Down for the 2 weekend training. Yes, It changed my life. Not immediately. But I realized there were techniques, if diligently applied, I could control that plague of negativity.

I BUGGED Paul Grivas, MY FIRST MENTOR, TO ALLOW ME TO TEACH !

I bugged the NYC Silva Method Lecturer, Paul Grivas, for 2 years to let me train with him. I was relentless in bugging him. He didn't want me involved and when he finally, somewhat agreed. His training was indeed unorthodox. I set up classes, prepared newsletters, mailings, checked people in at the door, even scrubbed toilets when he opened up a NYC center. Learning to speak before a crowd did not come natural. Paul threw me into the fire by just walking out of a seminar at times and leaving me in a room full of crowded people who EXPECTED to learn the method. I shook and stammered, and somehow managed through it … and in the end, I was helped by another lecturer who was just a little more advanced then me, but must have taken pity on me. I will ever be grateful to Mr. Clifford Panetta, a true mentor.

For two years, I was immersed in the Silva Method, working like a dog, doing the grunt work and then working with students, listening to their fears, their dreams and how they felt they were the one holding themselves back. The Silva Method of Mind Control had an interesting company policy, pay once and you can repeat the class as many times as you want in any part of the world. Silva's grad students took advantage of it. The thing that I had learned, as well as the Silva Grads wanted, they didn't want to make they effort in creating their change. They wanted someone else TO JUST DO something to THEM and make it effortless. That was the start of my quest. Yea, come in and walk out with the change, total, unquestionable, armed with a new belief system, possessing incredible confidence and a soaring self estee, instead of just willed bravado.
